They come. They go. They eat and retreat. But for some reason they never show up in Colorado. A little Tuesday tarpon footage for those who’d rather be fishing the flats today.

Drake Flyfishing Video Awards entry Riding High examines Florida’s tarpon phenomenon to see whether or not “our” tarpon are also “their” tarpon—via a tournament focussed on tagging. Featuring Capt. David Mangum, BTT’s Dr. Jerry Ault, and more.

“That fish that was tagged in Florida—oops there he goes, he’s down in Mexico. Well there’s absolute and definitive proof he’s not just your fish… he’s our fish, too, and you can affect legislation that will help protect those fish.”

A Waterline Media production.
