With Turkey Day officially over, we’re switching back over to bacon. Bacon—as a golden rule—is delicious with breakfast (and almost every other meal you can throw at it). But drinking the porky goodness is another story all together. The brave and carnivorous crew at Esquire Magazine today put bacon beverages to the test: bacon soda, bacon vodka, and the ultimate bacon Bloody Mary. Thirsty?
“Bacon Salt, a company entirely devoted to selling bacon-flavored novelty products, is more or less founded on the idea that people can’t ever get enough bacon. (Or at least the Internet, or at least a lot of men, or whoever’s been patronizing their products since 2007.) Recently, the company teamed up with soda manufacturer Jones to release a limited-time bacon soda. We were a little intrigued—kinda, maybe, we think—when we found out about it, if only because Jones makes some otherwise really delicious soda. It also reminded us of the Bakon Vodka we received a while back that’s been sitting around the office. So we decided to concoct some beverages and put together a little taste comparison. Maybe it’s the holidays, or maybe we’re starting to buy back into this whole bacon thing after it got out of hand for a while, but we thought some of it might even, you know, taste good.”Source Link
