Michigan fire crews are battling two wildfires threatening areas around some of Michigan’s best trout fishing areas. True North Trout reports that the larger of the two fires, the Meridian Boundary fire, is contained but not under control. According to Michigan DNR, the fire has burned approximately 7,520 acres in an area adjoining the South Branch of the Au Sable River, south of M-72, in South Branch Township.

Tom and The Drake are now both based in Denver, Colorado, where The Drake is finally all grows up(Swingers, 1996) to a quarterly magazine.
