The 8th Annual Heber Valley Fly Fishing Festival kicks off this weekend in Midway, Utah. Join Allen Fly Fishing and Streem Outdoors for the free event that invites anglers of all skill levels to participate in clinics and demonstrations from local and industry experts.

Classes will be held both on and off the water. Participants can also check out the more than 70 vendors, and try out “the full spectrum of fly rod types available on the market today….” Once you’ve selected your weapon, head over to the Scientific Anglers booth on Saturday the 12th for its “Bring Your Own Rod” fly-line demo. SA is spooling up 50 of their best fly lines to help you decide which ones best suit your needs.

Finally, Utah’s Brian Bingham & the Backyard Revival is providing live music. And the International Dutch Oven Society is serving up free food. Music and meals will run Friday evening only, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
