The rivers were WAY higher than they normally would be, like everywhere in the northern Rockies this year. Fishing was tough - not many bugs, fish spread out, raging water. Instead of the usual catching of lots of nice fish, I just caught a few nice fish. Broke off one bull trout to a bad or damaged knot, had some other swipes and follows. Caught just 3, 18+" cutthroats and a few smaller ones. Literally the only fish I found rising is the one pitchered. Good times as ever, of course.
