Two and one half years ago we moved to a lovely new house. Since then I've built a shop, post and beam 16x30 with a cement floor, added windows, wired it up, built a wood shed on back and did a thousand other new home owner tasks. The one thing I did not do was tie any flies. We decided the fly tying station would be in the back bedroom, the last one to get fixed up. Finally we started to attack that room and I got to build a fly tying station.
It is one project I built that actually is close to square and works as planned. It has a sliding shelf for my hooks, bobbins and thread etc. Its one of the few things I have built that I don't need to apologize for its ugliness.
Unfortunately having a nice bench does not mean I can tie flies worth shit.
