All threads that bitch about new, existing, or old members will be posted/relocated here. Keep this shit off the General forum, because no one wants (or cares) to hear your opinions. Now go back to the other forums and post something worthy of reading.

I got a Skagit line. I know, right?

I understand why people like these things. They really are training wheels. Just wing the fly out there. Timing off? No problem, itll go. Bad anchor? No problem, itll go. Shabby D? No problem, there it goes.

Kindve fun casting atungston-eyed streamer to the far bank of the Jelly, tho. Could cast that far with a traditional line and small fly, but not a 3 ton streamer. Could maybe do it with a scando line, but would need a 10 or 11 weight, not a little 7 weight.

So, there it is. Ill never pretend to be a traditional spey fisher with the stupid thing, tho -- no feather wings, click reels, and tweed caps. Have to draw line in sand somewhere.

Oh please! This from the boy who fishes barbed, treble hook Rapalas. The sandy line was crossed long ago!

Did you not tie and fish these? Are they not barbed? Answer the question!

Look at Joe!

I bet I could catch a poopfish on one of those.

And yes, the Skag is like the bobber/worm rig of spey casting. I am proud of you and you will slay this summer while not at the Luau.

Heero[CntRmbrPwd] wrote: Shrimp flies don’t count. When fishing for Atlantic salmon, one has to be sure — the more barbs, the better.
Ha! You've just admitted that you DON'T pinch every barb.

I take back NOTHING!
